Transition Services for Students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing

Project L.I.F.E. (Learning to Impact Future Experiences) is a collaborative leadership and career development program for eligible 14 to 21 year old high school students who are deaf or hard of hearing, living within the 65 counties of the Alabama Workforce Investment area.

Project L.I.F.E. is administered through the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services and endorsed by the Alabama State Department of Education. Services will be coordinated through a partnership with E.H. Gentry Technical Facility a unit of the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind, the Janice Capilouto Center for the Deaf - Easter Seal, and Jacksonville State University.

Who is Eligible?

In-school youth who are deaf or hard of hearing, ages 14 - 21 who live within the Alabama Workforce Investment Act Service Area (all Alabama counties except Jefferson and Mobile.)
